School?
Can your school deliver?
Encourage your (or your child's) school to participate in ART 180's Change for a Ten project. Start the year off with a little creativity and community service.
Will your class participate?
We need your HELP! Let us know if you can reach out to your school and engage students, faculty, staff, and parents to make $10 bills for change. Visit www.art180.org/ten. It's ART 180's 10th anniversary. To celebrate 10 years of change, art, and children we are asking you to make your own $10 bill about what you would change in the community. Send along with a real $10 contribution to ART 180. Have fun and make a difference. It's easy. But we can't do it without YOU.

free tickets to Toad's Place!
Join ART 180 at Highwater (140 Virginia Street) for live music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and more --- Wednesday, August 20, 5:30-7:30pm
Bring your $10 creation/submission or make one on the spot! Visit www.art180.org/ten to download the template.
For each “Change for a 10” bill (and $10 donation) you submit at this free event on August 20th, Toad’s Place will give you 2 free tickets to select shows {one of which will be performing on the evening of the event - Strange Design}. You must present your "Change for a Ten" bill (and your $10 donation!) to receive your tickets.
Toad's Place will also be selling additional tickets at a reduced rate with your $10 donation going toward your ticket price.
So go ahead and make your own $10 bill and express the change you'd like to see in the community. Give $10 to help ART 180 run after-school programs for at-risk youth. And get free tickets to a concert!
You don't have to be an artist. You just have to have something to say. And we KNOW you've got that!
Host a dollar-making party
Host your own dollar-making party -- invite friends, family, colleagues, whomever to join you in making $10 and donating $10. We'll be happy to provide you with templates and art supplies.
Thanks to Branch Harper, Connie Sarvay, and Carra Rose who have already hosted parties and to Erica Gerber who has one in the works! We need you to join us! contact us at 180@art180.org if you would be willing to host a dollar-making party or if you have other ideas/ways to help!

Communications Professional?
Are you an art director/designer, copywriter...or other communications professional?
There are a lot of rewards for creating inspiring communication. In this case, it’s knowing you’ve helped give a voice to hundreds of deserving young people.
Ok, ok, you could win something too.
Enter the Challenge Co-Sponsored by The Richmond Ad Club
Your Change for a Ten submission will be judged by Jelly Helm of Wieden+Kennedy’s 12, and the winners will receive creative bragging rights, along with a little something to show off on their desk. The organization with the most submissions will be recognized too, so the more cohorts you get on board, the better.
To participate, just write “Jelly” on the back of your submission to be entered in this contest! And if you are part of an agency/organization, go ahead and add that in after your name.
Send submissions with donations to ART 180 | 0 East 4th St #56 | Richmond, VA 23224
or email them to 180@art180.org and donate the real $10 through Network for Good (art180.org/donate). Deadline: 9-15-2008
You don’t have to be an art director, or even a creative, to join in. You just need something to say. And we know you’ve all got that.
Visit www.art180.org/ten to download a flyer and post it in your agency!
